Teletherapy Occupational Therapist | Illinois

An opportunity is available for an Occupational Therapist specializing in school-based services with telehealth capabilities. This contract position serves early childhood through second-grade students, supporting their developmental and learning needs through tailored occupational therapy interventions.

Location and Schedule:

• Worksite located in Prospect Heights, IL
• Monday through Friday schedule
• Daily hours from 7:55 AM to 2:55 PM
• Contract period: August 17 through June 3

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in early childhood (EC), kindergarten, first, and second grades
• Deliver therapy via in-person sessions and telehealth platforms to accommodate various student needs
• Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Conduct evaluations, monitor progress, and document therapy outcomes accurately
• Utilize evidence-based practices to address sensory, motor, and functional skills within the school environment

Qualifications:

• Valid Occupational Therapist license with eligibility to provide school-based therapy services
• Experience delivering telehealth occupational therapy within educational settings preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric developmental milestones and school curriculum
• Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel
• Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants (COTAs) are not eligible for this position
