Virtual Occupational Therapist - PA

A full-time Occupational Therapist position is available in Punxsutawney, PA, offering a contract-to-hire opportunity within a school setting. This role focuses on PreK through 1st-grade students, supporting the Kindergarten teams identified need for occupational therapy services. Initial responsibilities include conducting screenings and implementing interventions, followed by providing targeted therapy for qualifying students.

Primary duties encompass collaborating closely with classroom teachers, delivering push-in services, and addressing the needs of students with identified challenges. The position involves working itinerantly within a single school with approximately 37.5 hours per week. Paid travel time is included.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Valid Pennsylvania Occupational Therapy licensure
• Experience in school-based occupational therapy, particularly with early elementary-aged children (PreK to 1st grade)
• Familiarity with implementing screenings and interventions within classroom settings
• Ability to deliver push-in therapy services and collaborate effectively with educators
• Competence in managing caseloads and documentation accordingly

This role offers administrative time, including paid team meetings, supporting a balanced workload. The district utilizes a caseload model and provides training related to their IEP system. Interviews will be conducted via Zoom, with decision-making expected within 24 to 48 hours following interviews.
