Teletherapy Occupational Therapist | California

Seeking an Occupational Therapist with expertise in school-based and telehealth services, available for a contract assignment in San Jose, CA. This role involves supporting students through tailored therapeutic interventions delivered primarily via telehealth, with some onsite collaboration.

Work Hours and Setup:

• Commitment of 20-30 hours per week during the first two months of the school year
• Workstation fully equipped for telehealth services
• Supported by a dedicated paraprofessional to assist with student needs

Essential Qualifications and Experience:

• Proven experience navigating the Special Education Information System (SEIS)
• Extensive background in California school settings
• Familiarity with VOCO technology is highly desirableprevious challenges with VOCO highlight the need for an OT comfortable and proficient with this tool

Responsibilities:

• Conduct evaluations and provide occupational therapy interventions aligned with students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Collaborate with educational staff and paraprofessionals to enhance student participation and success
• Document therapy sessions and progress in compliance with school district requirements and SEIS
• Utilize VOCO and other assistive technologies to support communication goals
