Online Physical Therapist | Texas

A part-time position is available for a licensed Physical Therapist to provide school-based services supporting Special Education students ages 3 to 22 during the 2026/2027 academic year in San Elizario, TX. This role centers on enhancing student access and participation across various school settings, including classrooms, hallways, playgrounds, cafeterias, bathrooms, and virtual environments when necessary.

Key responsibilities include:

• Delivering direct physical therapy services tailored to individual student needs
• Facilitating the referral process and conducting student assessments
• Collaborating in IEP meetings, contributing to goal development and reviewing progress
• Supporting educational staff with standards-based IEP goals and assistive technology requirements
• Maintaining comprehensive and accurate documentation in accordance with regulatory standards
• Assisting with transition-related services and adaptive equipment needs
• Communicating professionally with staff, students, and families while upholding confidentiality
• Staying informed on best practices through independent professional development
• Performing additional duties as assigned by the Director of Special Education

Qualifications and experience sought for this position include:

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the State of Texas
• Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy education program and required fieldwork
• Valid drivers license
• Adherence to the Texas Board of Physical Therapy Examiners rules, regulations, and code of ethics
• Experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred
