Virtual School Registered Nurse - Michigan
A registered nurse licensed in Michigan is needed to provide skilled nursing support in a school setting in Pigeon, MI, on a contractual basis. The primary responsibility involves overseeing and supervising catheterization procedures for a student requiring catheterization every three hours during the school day. While a trained paraprofessional will perform the catheterizations, the RN must provide supervision and delegation to ensure safe and effective care.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and delegate catheterization procedures carried out by a trained paraprofessional.
- Monitor the students health condition and respond to any medical concerns promptly.
- Maintain clear, accurate documentation of nursing interventions and student health status.
- Collaborate with school personnel and healthcare providers to support the students medical needs.
- Utilize telehealth and case management skills to coordinate and facilitate care as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Michigan.
- Experience in school nursing, telehealth, and case management preferred.
- Knowledge of catheterization procedures and nursing delegation responsibilities.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work up to 15 hours per week on a flexible schedule during the school day.
