Virtual Speech Language Pathologist in AL
This contract opportunity seeks a certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide teletherapy services for students in grades K-3. The focus will be on delivering effective speech-language support remotely, leveraging telepractice techniques to enhance student communication skills.
Location: Bessemer, AL
Schedule: Approximately 15 hours per week
Duration: August 10 through May 21
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct teletherapy sessions with K-3rd grade students to address speech and language goals
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on student assessments
- Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation of sessions and student performance
- Utilize telepractice tools to engage students effectively and monitor outcomes
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Experience delivering speech-language services in a school setting
- Proficiency in teletherapy platforms and remote service delivery
- Strong communication skills and ability to engage young children virtually
- Familiarity with specialized strategies for K-3 age group speech and language development
