Speech Language Pathologist Work From Home | California
An opportunity is available for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to deliver speech therapy services to students from transitional kindergarten through 8th grade. The position supports up to 43 students, with assignments across a maximum of two schools. Services are primarily in-person with flexibility toward teletherapy options.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting speech and language assessments and providing individualized therapy in accordance with district goals.
- Collaborating with supervising personnel, such as paraprofessionals or licensed staff, who provide on-site support and supervision.
- Managing a caseload of up to 43 students in early childhood and elementary age groups.
- Adhering to school district policies, including fingerprinting and background checks prior to start.
- Participating in remote interviews and completing necessary contract documentation promptly.
Required qualifications and experience:
- Valid licensure or certification as an SLP or SLPA.
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred, especially for SLP candidates.
- Experience within school settings and with teletherapy service delivery models.
- Ability to work with diverse student populations across TK-8 grade levels.
- Comfort with supervision protocols and collaborating with educational teams.
This contract position is based in Petaluma, CA, with services expected to begin as soon as possible and continue through the end of the school year. Remote interview options are available to accommodate candidates. Fingerprinting will be necessary before employment can start. No additional training will be provided, so candidates should be ready to engage immediately with students and teams.
