Virtual School Social Worker in NM
An opportunity is available for a School Social Worker serving an elementary caseload with a 37.5-hour work week. This position offers flexibility with virtual social worker candidates being considered. Located in Carlsbad, NM, this role is a contract-based assignment supporting students, parents, administrators, and teaching staff.
Responsibilities include providing individually-tailored advice and consultation to help students overcome personal, emotional, familial, or social challenges. This support aims to enhance and maximize students' overall learning experience and well-being. Collaborating with school personnel and families to address barriers and promote student success is central to this role.
Desired qualifications for this position include holding a valid New Mexico SSW License or credentials such as LBSW, LMSW, or LCSW. Experience working in school settings, particularly with elementary-aged children, is preferred. Proficiency in telehealth delivery methods is an asset, especially for candidates opting for virtual service.
