Remote School Social Worker - Maine

A Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 academic year within a middle school and high school setting, serving approximately 30 students through a resource co-teaching model. This full-time position offers 37.5 hours per week from August through June, providing a consistent schedule in a supportive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to students within both middle and high school resource classrooms
• Collaborate on educational plans that meet diverse learning needs
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
• Engage with educational staff and families to support student success

Qualifications:

• Valid Washington State Special Education (SPED) license
• ESA certification
• Experience working with middle and high school age groups in special education settings
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 30 students, primarily through co-teaching arrangements
• Willingness to comply with district-specific onboarding processes, including fingerprinting requirements

Location: Position is based within the school district in Spanaway, Washington, with the surrounding areas of Auburn, Tacoma, and Lakewood considered for posting and recruitment.
