Work From Home Social Worker | Maine

A full-time Special Education teaching opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year within a middle school and a high school setting. This role involves serving a resource/co-teaching caseload of approximately 30 students, providing specialized educational support to meet diverse learning needs. The position requires holding a valid Special Education license for Washington State and an ESA certification.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for middle and high school students.
• Co-teach and collaborate with classroom teachers to accommodate various learning styles.
• Monitor student progress and adapt instructional strategies accordingly.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and communicate regularly with families.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Washington State Special Education (SPED) teaching license.
• ESA certification.
• Experience working with middle and high school students.
• Ability to manage a caseload of approximately 30 students.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive learning environment.

Location: Spanaway, WA, with consideration for candidates residing in Auburn, Tacoma, and Lakewood areas.

Additional Details:

• Workweek consists of 37.5 hours.
• Fingerprinting clearance is required prior to start.
