Online Social Worker | Maine
A full-time Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for the 2026-2027 school year, serving both middle and high school students within a resource (co-teaching) setting. The position requires working approximately 37.5 hours per week and managing a caseload of around 30 students spread across one middle school and one high school classroom in Washington state.
Responsibilities include delivering specialized instruction tailored to the unique needs of students with disabilities, collaborating with general education teachers to co-teach and support inclusive classrooms, and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to monitor and promote student progress.
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license for Washington state
- ESA (Educational Staff Associate) Certification
- Experience working with middle and high school students in special education settings
- Ability to manage a resource classroom with approximately 30 students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with staff and families
