Online Special Education Teacher in SC

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in telehealth services to support middle school students in grades 6 through 8. This contract position runs from early August through late May and involves working a schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM. The role requires managing a caseload of approximately 35 students, focusing on delivering individualized education plans (IEPs) through remote platforms.

Responsibilities include:

• Implementing specialized instructional strategies tailored to each student's needs
• Conducting telehealth sessions to facilitate accessible learning experiences
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to monitor student progress
• Preparing and maintaining accurate documentation and reports as required
• Adapting curriculum content for virtual delivery in compliance with special education standards
• Engaging with families to support student development and address concerns

Qualifications and desired experience:

• Certification in Special Education
• Previous experience teaching middle school students (grades 6-8)
