Virtual Special Education Teacher in GA

An opportunity is available for a Special Education Teacher specializing in telehealth services, serving middle school students in grades 6-8. This contract position is based in Cusseta, GA, supporting a self-contained classroom environment with a caseload of approximately 10 students. The role focuses on students without severe disabilities, delivering specialized educational instruction adapted to meet their unique learning needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized and group instruction tailored to students special education needs
• Implementing adapted curriculum aligned with established educational standards
• Utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver services and maintain communication with students, families, and staff
• Collaborating with school personnel to develop and adjust Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate documentation

Qualifications and experience required:

• Valid Georgia Special Education (SPED) certification, including Special Education Adapted Curriculum endorsement
• Experience working with middle school students in a special education setting
• Competence in delivering instruction through telehealth technologies
• Strong skills in behavior management and individualized instruction plans
• Ability to work independently and adapt to remote teaching environments
