Special Education Teacher Work From Home | Georgia
A special education teaching role is available for the summer term, focused on supporting a homebound student through virtual therapy services. This position offers the chance to collaborate closely with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and speech-language pathologists via telehealth while working alongside an onsite paraprofessional to facilitate learning and student engagement.
Location: Forsyth, GA
Contract Duration: June 1 July 16
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 11:45 a.m. 2:45 p.m.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized instruction and support to a homebound student in alignment with their IEP goals.
- Coordinate effectively with virtual OT, PT, and SLP providers to ensure integrated therapy services.
- Work alongside an onsite paraprofessional to implement educational strategies and accommodate student needs.
- Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and adapt instructional approaches as needed.
- Foster a positive and supportive learning environment tailored to the student's unique requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid teaching certification with specialization in special education.
- Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs in either in-person or virtual settings.
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote collaboration with therapy professionals.
- Strong communication and organizational skills to coordinate multidisciplinary services.
- Ability to work independently while maintaining effective partnerships with support staff.
