Special Education Teacher Work From Home | Virginia

A Special Education Teacher position is available to support a virtual ECATS program serving private day schools. The role requires a fully licensed Virginia Special Education Teacher with strong case management experience, capable of managing a full caseload and providing instruction virtually.

Location: Norfolk, VA
Contract Duration: August 3, 2026 June 4, 2027
Weekly Hours: 37.5

Responsibilities include:

• Acting as case manager for assigned students within the ECATS program, providing direct instruction as needed
• Leading and facilitating IEP meetings while ensuring compliance with all state and federal regulations
• Completing assessments and IEP documentation accurately and within designated timelines
• Collaborating closely with the Special Education director and multidisciplinary team to support student progress
• Supervising and coordinating with paraprofessionals or related service providers as applicable

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Fully licensed Special Education Teacher in the state of Virginia
• Proven ability to independently manage all aspects of case management and IEP development
• Strong communication and organizational skills for leading meetings and maintaining compliance
• Experience working virtually or delivering telehealth services is preferred
• Ability to work effectively within a structured program and report directly to leadership
