Special Education Teacher Online | North Carolina

A Special Education Teacher role is available to support students in grades K-5 through telehealth services. This contract position is based in Mills River, NC, and focuses on delivering specialized instruction to 14 students in a small group setting. With a teaching assistant already in place, the role emphasizes both direct interaction with students and collaboration with staff.

Key responsibilities include:

• Conducting small group sessions with K-5 special education students via telehealth in the morning.
• Collaborating with teaching assistants and school staff to enhance individualized education plans.
• Participating in planning and consultation meetings during afternoon and evening hours.
• Maintaining detailed records of student progress and adjusting instruction accordingly.
