Special Education Teacher Online | Tennessee

A contract position is available for a Special Education Teacher to support middle school students through telehealth services. This role focuses on delivering academic interventions in reading and math, as well as co-teaching within general education classrooms to assist students with disabilities including Specific Learning Disabilities, Other Health Impaired, and Language Impaired.

Location: Oneida, TN
Duration: ASAP or early August through the end of the school year (late May)
Schedule: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, Monday through Friday

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized academic interventions tailored to students needs in reading and math
• Collaborate with general education teachers to co-teach and facilitate inclusive learning environments
• Manage a caseload varying from 12 to 22 students, depending on team composition
• Track student progress and adjust teaching strategies accordingly

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid Tennessee Special Education Teaching Certification (Licenses 144, 145, or 461 accepted)
• Experience working with middle school-aged students with diverse disabilities
• Ability to utilize telehealth platforms effectively in delivering educational services
