Remote Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Colorado
A specialized opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing providing Telehealth services. This contract position focuses on delivering educational support to students with hearing impairments through remote platforms.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting assessments and developing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students with hearing loss.
- Delivering direct instruction and support via telehealth technology.
- Collaborating with parents, educators, and related service providers to promote student progress.
- Utilizing assistive technology and resources effectively in a virtual environment.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and progress reports.
Desired qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing.
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Proficiency in telehealth platforms and virtual teaching methods.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to tailor instruction to individual student needs and use technology creatively.
- Familiarity with educational and audiological assessments.
