Remote Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing | Washington
A contract opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing to support students via telehealth services. This position is based in Everett, WA, and focuses on delivering specialized educational interventions remotely to meet the needs of students with hearing impairments.
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct instruction and support to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing using telehealth platforms.
- Developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's hearing and learning needs.
- Collaborating with families, educators, and related service providers to ensure comprehensive support.
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting instructional strategies as needed.
- Maintaining detailed documentation and compliance with educational standards.
Preferred qualifications and experience:
- Certification or licensure as a teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing.
- Proven experience delivering educational services through telehealth.
- Strong knowledge of communication modalities and assistive technologies for students with hearing loss.
