Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - ME
A full school year contract position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing with expertise in telehealth services. This role is based in Falmouth, ME, and requires fluency in American Sign Language (ASL).
Key qualifications and experience include:
- Certification and experience as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
- Fluency in ASL to effectively communicate and instruct students
- Proven ability to deliver telehealth support tailored to the needs of Deaf and Hard of Hearing students
- Strong understanding of educational strategies and accommodations for students with hearing loss
- Effective classroom management and individualized instruction skills
Responsibilities focus on delivering specialized instruction to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students using both traditional and telehealth platforms. Duties include:

- Providing ASL instruction and communication support
- Collaborating with parents, therapists, and other educational professionals to support student progress
