Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - CO
A full-time teaching position is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing serving students via telehealth for the 2026/2027 school year. This role supports a K-12 caseload, providing specialized instruction and communication support for students with hearing impairments.
Location: Fort Lupton, CO
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 35 hours per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver comprehensive educational services for students who are deaf or hard of hearing across grades K-12
- Utilize telehealth technology to conduct remote instruction and support services
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to students communication and learning needs
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to enhance student learning and access
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
Required Qualifications:
- Active Colorado teaching certification/license for Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing
- Experience working with students who are deaf or hard of hearing in an educational setting
- Proficiency with telehealth platforms and remote instructional delivery
- Strong understanding of language acquisition, auditory and visual learning strategies
- Ability to manage a diverse K-12 caseload and work independently
