Virtual Deaf and Hard of Hearing Teacher in NH
A specialized opportunity is available for a Teacher of the Deaf/Hard of Hearing with expertise in telehealth and teletherapy to provide consultative services. This contract role involves delivering tailored support to two students requiring specialized services, totaling approximately 8 hours per month.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct teletherapy and telehealth sessions focusing on the unique needs of students who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- Develop and implement individualized strategies to support students' educational and communication goals.
- Collaborate with educators and families to enhance student progress through consultative guidance.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services provided and student progress.
- Stay current with best practices and technology advancements related to teletherapy and deaf/hard of hearing education.
Qualifications:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Proven experience delivering education and therapy services via telehealth platforms.
- Strong understanding of communication modalities and assistive technology for deaf and hard of hearing students.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to provide consultative support efficiently within limited scheduled hours.
