Virtual Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - MI
This contract position in Kingsford, MI focuses on providing educational support as a Teacher for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through telehealth services. The role requires specialized knowledge in the education of students with hearing impairments and the ability to deliver services remotely.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instructional services to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing using telehealth platforms
- Develop individualized learning plans tailored to students needs and hearing abilities
- Collaborate with parents, educators, and related service providers to support student progress
- Assess and monitor student outcomes to adapt strategies accordingly
- Maintain accurate records of services and communication to ensure compliance with educational standards
Qualifications and Experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf or Hard of Hearing
- Proven experience in serving students with hearing impairments
- Familiarity with telehealth technology and remote instruction techniques
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and manage a caseload effectively
This opportunity does not permit a VOCO (voice or video communication only) arrangement. Candidates must be able to work under the outlined service delivery expectations.
