Virtual Teach of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing - CA

A specialized teaching opportunity is available for a professional skilled in educating students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing through telehealth methods. This role involves delivering high-quality, accessible instruction designed to meet the unique needs of these learners in a remote setting.

Responsibilities include:

• Providing individualized and group instruction tailored for students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing
• Utilizing telehealth platforms to deliver effective educational services
• Collaborating with families, audiologists, and other professionals to support student progress
• Monitoring and assessing student development and adapting teaching strategies accordingly
• Maintaining detailed documentation in compliance with educational and telehealth standards

Desired qualifications and experience:

• Certification or licensure as a Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
• Proven experience delivering instruction to Deaf or Hard of Hearing students
• Familiarity with telehealth technology and remote instructional techniques
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, including proficiency with assistive technology
• Ability to work independently and manage schedules effectively within a contract position
