Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired - MT
An opportunity is available for a dedicated Teacher for the Visually Impaired specializing in telehealth services. This full-time role, requiring 25-30 hours per week, involves providing specialized instruction and support to students with visual impairments. Instruction will take place primarily via telehealth, with responsibilities including one-on-one and group sessions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering tailored educational programs to students with visual impairments
- Conducting case management and maintaining accurate progress reports
- Utilizing Braille literacy instruction to enhance student learning
- Collaborating with related service providers to support individual education plans
Desired qualifications and experience:
- Certification or licensure as a Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI)
- Proficiency in Braille instruction and assessment
- Experience managing caseloads and reporting on student progress
- Comfort and skill in delivering telehealth services effectively
