Virtual Teacher of the Visually Impaired - SC

A contract opportunity is available for a Visually Impaired Teacher specializing in telehealth services. This role supports students with visual impairments, delivering instruction through remote platforms to ensure accessibility and tailored educational experiences.

Location:

• Based in Moncks Corner, SC, with assigned service locations to be determined within the district.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide itinerant teaching services to students with visual impairments.
• Utilize telehealth methods to deliver educational instruction and support.
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
• Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Maintain detailed records and documentation of services provided.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate with a Visual Impairment (VI) Endorsement.
• Experience in teaching students with visual impairments is essential.
• Proficiency in telehealth platforms and remote instructional techniques.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Schedule and Duration:

• This position requires 35 hours per week.
• The contract period extends from the start date as soon as possible through June 4th, 2027.
