Virtual Teacher of Visually Impaired in SC

This role seeks a qualified Itinerant Teacher for the Visually Impaired (TVI) to provide specialized instruction and support to visually impaired students through telehealth and in-person services. The position is contract-based within a school setting located in Moncks Corner, SC, beginning immediately and continuing through June 4th, 2027. This opportunity involves a part-time schedule of 35 hours per week.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized educational support and instruction to students with visual impairments.
• Utilize telehealth platforms and remote teaching techniques to maintain consistent student engagement.
• Collaborate with educational staff to develop and implement tailored learning plans.
• Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed to meet goals.
• Provide training and resources to families and caregivers to support student learning.

Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Teaching Certificate with an endorsement in Visual Impairment (VI).
• Experience working with visually impaired students in educational or clinical settings.
• Proficient in telehealth technology and remote instructional methods.
• Strong communication skills for effective coordination with students, families, and school staff.
• Ability to work independently within a flexible itinerant teaching schedule.
